I am currently teaching 9th and 12th grade English, manage a SpEd caseload of 26 students, I am also the Instructional Leader for special education and the gifted and talented coordinator at Prairie View High School in Brighton, Colorado. Previously I have taught MS English and US History, HS severe special needs classes, and served as the gifted & talented coordinator for K-12, and  CLD liaison for 6-8.  I am currently finishing my masters degree in educational leadership. I love to learn and am usually enrolled in at least one graduate class at any given time. I try to pass that love of learning on to my students by showing them the joy that can come from fully understanding a new concept, content, process, or product. I have a deep passion for special populations and work to make sure that students on the fringes are receiving the same educational opportunities as their peers.
