Generation Esports | High School Esports League
Scholastic Esports | CTE/STEM Specialist
West Region
Chris has been an educator for over 18 years in California and Colorado. Half of those years were spent teaching high school CTE courses in graphic design, A/V production, AP computer science, journalism, and theater arts. In 2014, Shima created one of Colorado’s first high school esports programs at his campus, and shortly after he founded Colorado's first statewide competitive esports league. In 2019, he merged his CO league with the national High School Esports League to meet the growing needs of esports in Colorado and to provide students and teachers with the best scholastic esports experience available.

Today, Shima works with teachers and administration in the west region of the US to develop exciting scholastic esports programs for schools through the High School Esports League and Middle School Esports League, the nation’s largest scholastic esports leagues. He provides districts with meaningful learning solutions using Generation Esports’ innovative and acclaimed Gaming Concepts curricula, which teaches vital STEM/CTE skills and positively impacts student/teacher mental health needs, social emotional learning, and much more.

Chris's wife and daughters all enjoy video games and dancing, sometimes both at the same time.
